MAISEL & FRIENDS HOPFENREITER
I was invited by Maisel Brewery from Bayreuth to bring my ideas into a new concept restaurant they were planing. Their sublabel Maisel & Friends, who is specialized in craftbeer was going to open a new restaurant in Bayreuth dedicated to craftbeer, elaborated (street)food and urban art. This new hotspot called Liebesbier features plenty of original artworks by well known streetartist and I was lucky to be the one who designed their signature mural in the entrance hall. It shows the „Hopfenreiter“, my interpretation of a dark knight, entirely made of hops, bringing us the ultimate joy of beer. Further I painted a canvas with this guy, wich became also the label of a new beer, that is also called HOPFENREITER and was released since then annually. This special beer is a very strong double IPA and features a variety of different breweries who contribute their individual hops to the brew.
